Who We Are

Capitis is an Ontario-based corporation licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario to operate as a Mortgage Administrator on behalf of third-party lenders and borrowers. Our mission is to connect private lenders and credible borrowers through funding short-term, first, and second residential mortgages.

Our primary focus is to create a network of investor capital with the objective of generating secured fixed income through investing in the Canadian residential mortgage market.

The Capitis team has a combined experience of over 20 years in the fields of mortgage brokerage and administration, residential and commercial lending, real estate investment management, and property management, as well as a robust understanding of Canadian mortgage and lending regulations as well as best practices and industry standards.

Meet the Team

Brock Frost

FOUNDER
Brock is an avid real estate investor, owner of two real estate and mortgage offices, a private lender, and one of the top Mortgage Brokers in Canada.
After traveling for 5 years following his graduation from Queen's University, Frost started investing in real estate at the age of 30. Using a variety of creative financing techniques that he learned by studying real estate and tax law as well as financing rules and regulations, Frost was resourcefully able to acquire 20 properties over 3 years.
In 2018, he also published his first book, "The Investor Mindset", which gave a candid recount of his struggles and how they all tied into his life as an investor.
Today, he successfully runs numerous businesses and enjoys educating investors as to the many aspects of the real estate and financing industries in Canada.
Heidi Fayek

VP of Operations & Business Development
Heidi is a real estate and banking professional, with an accumulated 12 years of experience focused initially on commercial banking and more recently on commercial real estate investment management.
Heidi’s international experience predominantly focused on European and North American markets, centered on structuring and managing multimillion-dollar real estate investment transactions from the initial vetting processes to the acquisition, investment management, and eventual exit on behalf of a wide network of international investors.
Now settled in Canada, she has joined the Capitis team and has also become an avid private lender.
Heidi holds an MBA from EDHEC, France, and a BS in Financial Economics from Minnesota State University.
Anas Aouni

Mortgage Underwriter
With 9 years of diverse experience in financial services spanning investment banking, insurance, and both residential and commercial mortgage lending, Anas commenced his career in the bustling financial district of Toronto. In this dynamic environment, he interacted closely with top-tier executives, immersing himself in the wealth of investment knowledge shared by leading financial minds.
After contributing significantly to two prominent financial institutions in Toronto, Anas embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, obtaining his mortgage license and transitioning to Ottawa. Recognized for his prowess in navigating complex mortgage scenarios, clients identify him as the go-to professional capable of turning possibilities into realities.
As a seasoned investor, Anas has curated an extensive real estate portfolio alongside his family, with a steadfast commitment to building generational wealth. His fervor for real estate and wealth accumulation seamlessly translates into a keen eye for identifying key opportunities in today's market.
Pravin Shukle

MD FRCPC, Investor Liaison
Dr. Shukle is an entrepreneur and a physician. He’s a specialist in Internal Medicine and has practiced in the Ottawa region for over 20 years. He is also a recognized international lecturer, has participated in clinical research, and has scientific patents and designs. He has been involved in start-up companies within the healthcare and retail fields and currently holds executive positions in two companies. He also holds executive positions in some non-profit agencies.
He has extensive real estate investment experience, having owned multiple properties in the US and Canada.
Danielle Unsworth

Investor Liaison
Danielle comes from humble beginnings as a refugee escaping from Cambodia with her parents and sister. She saw the struggles that her parents went through as new immigrants and was determined to find a way to achieve financial security. She started investing in real estate in 2008 by accident while working as a full-time waitress.
In 2019, she hired a coach to help her build a legal secondary suite and started using the BRRRR strategy to quickly grow her portfolio.
Danielle is passionate about providing women with the knowledge and confidence to start investing in real estate. She coaches beginners on how to invest strategically and avoid costly mistakes. She is also a Co-founder of the Women Investors Network Canada (WINC).
